More importantly I have reached my objective of completing what used to be my regular 14km training route. A massive and psychologically important milestone.

Despite being full of cold, having a unshakeable cough and my knee still being sore from the previous weekends climbing i managed my longest run to date - around 12km.

One week after knee surgery and the most I have achieved is a speedier hobble!In all serious, the post-op recovery is progressing slowly but steadily. The bandages are off, the swelling has gone down and I can now almost walk up and down the stairs normally. Blea Water Gill, IIIYesterday, after a late-ish start we headed around to Haweswater to climb Blea Water Gill. Steph had been mad keen to climb this ever since she missed her chance last winter so with clear blue skies it was too good an opportunity to miss.Climbing conditions on the east face above Blea Water are currently very good.
